One boat, a long journey, and a place that felt like home.

We are Michelle, originally from Acapulco, Mexico, and Clément, from Marseille, France. Our story started far from Costa Rica. We met in La Paz, Mexico, and crossed paths again as life took us up and down the Pacific coast. Eventually, we stopped saying goodbye and started sharing the journey.

We sailed south from California, discovering places, people and little adventures along the way. In 2023, we arrived in Guanacaste aboard our catamaran, Anna. What was supposed to be another stop became home.

We began welcoming guests aboard Anna Holala and sharing the places we had come to love: quiet beaches, beautiful anchorages, local food and the people who make this corner of Costa Rica special. Friends and guests kept asking what else they should do while they were here.

That's how Papagayo Collective came to life. Not as a catalogue of everything, but as a collection of experiences we'd genuinely recommend, brought together by two people who found their home here by sea.
